The Unfinished Corner

Jewish mythology has it that when God created the universe, He left a tiny corner of it unfinished. Opinion is divided on why, but everyone agrees that the Unfinished Corner is a dangerous place full of monsters. Twelve-year-old Miriam neither knows, nor cares about the Unfinished Corner. She’s too busy preparing for her Bat Mitzvah, wrestling with whether she even wants to be Jewish—until an angel appears, whisking her and her best friends Avi and David off to this crazy and monstrous land with a single mission: Finish the Unfinished Corner.

With art by Rachel “Tuna” Petrovicz, colours by Whitney Cogar, and letters by Jim Campbell.

“I can’t believe ‘Unfinished Corner’ is a comic that exists because it’s literally everything I’ve wanted in a comic.” - Lior Zaltzman, Kveller

Short Stories

“Hive Mind” - You Died

Death is, truly, the one thing we all have in common. But that doesn't make it easy to talk about.

None of us can agree on what happens after the end comes, or about how much we should think about it beforehand, or even what death should mean to the living. But who says there's anything wrong with that? Not us.

This Iron Circus Comics anthology features a line-up of cartoonists, both new and notable, relating their favorite stories, myths, hopes, and suspicions about death, dying, and even The Great Beyond.

“All Thumbs” - Femme Magnifique

A comic book anthology salute to 50 magnificent women who take names, crack ceilings, and change the game in pop, politics, art, and science.

The Kickstarter sensation that united over 100 comic book writers and artists from around the globe is now available in paperback with new content, including a new cover by Tess Fowler (Kid Lobotomy, Rat Queens).

50 female trailblazers of yesterday and today each get a 4-color sequential tribute in Femme Magnifique. This collection features 3-page short stories about women from the arenas of pop music, politics, art, and science. From astronauts and archaeologists to muckrakers and mathematicians, Femme Magnifique will stimulate and educate. Part mini biopic, part personal inspiration, this collection also features new material including a foreword, behind-the-scenes process pages, and more!

“Case Files” - Fairlady

After posing as a man to join the army, Jenner Faulds returns home to The Feld for a new start as a “Fairman”-a specially licensed private investigator. But sexism didn't end on the battlefield, and as the only “Fairlady,” Jenner gets stuck with the cases nobody else wants. Hitting the streets to solve The Feld's overlooked mysteries, Jenner finds that the smallest cases hide the biggest secrets.

“Extra shoutout to @DaniWritesStuff, whose Case Files at the end of each issue offer up additional mysteries laced with sly humor. They’re the cherry on top of an already excellent sundae, to use a lame metaphor.” - Andrew Monge, Fairlady fan

Essays

ODY-C

ODY-C, modeled after Homer's Odyssey, is a psychedelic, gender-broke science-fiction epic that tells the story of three legendary warrior-queens, Odyssia, Ene and Gamem, returning home after a centuries-long battle. Told in verse with a visual sensibility that redefines the very possibilities of the comics medium, this gloriously oversized hardcover also has exclusive bonus materials including essays by classicist Dani Colman, teaching aids, and a massive 10-page fold-out previously only available in the sold-out first issue. "FRACTION and WARD are doing wildly imaginative work combining fantastic Greek mythology with futuristic science fiction, and the book has a visual sensibility unlike anything else on the stands."— A.V. Club
